Since the ministry of education promulgated "curriculum standard", the content of inequality in high school is divided into two parts, one part is placed in the third chapter of the fifth compulsory book, the other part is placed in the fourth and the fifth compulsory book, In these two parts, some new details were increased, such us the linear programming、proof by contradiction、the method of enlarging and reducing、 Cauchy inequality、rearrangement inequality and mathematical induction, etc. Due to the contents of 《The Selective Teaching of Inequality》 often appear in the college entrance examination in recent years, so the contents of this subject is also becoming more and more important; But this subject is the elective course, so teachers and students do not pay much attention to it, so the research of this subject is relatively few. This paper mainly makes the actual surveys on the present teaching situation、 the problems occurred when students learn this subject under the request of the curriculum standard, according to the analysis of the results of the investigation and research, this topic teaching design and teaching Suggestions will be worked out. Hope that it will be helpful for teachers teaching of this subject by providing useful information in the future.The main conclusions drawn from this paper:the content of teaching materials and the high school mathematics curriculum standard should be balanced well, be familiar with the teaching target, teaching difficulties; Pay attention to students’ individual differences, according to their aptitude;To strengthen the students’ inquiry learning, cultivate students’ ability to analyze and solve problems; In explaining abstract problems, the problem situation should be created as can as possible, convert the abstract mathematical problems into our practical problems; Ask students to take the training of "one problem with more solutions、more problems with one solution and reflection and inspection".
