In recent years, with the in-depth studies of mixed-age education, the value of the mixed-age education is recognized gradually. In fact, the mixed-age education practice has never stopped from ancient to present. Comparing Mixed-age education with peer educators, peer education promotes the popularization and development of compulsory education, but But this form of organization emphasis on teaching uniform too much, ignores Children ’s individual differences. The mixed-age education at this point can be a good complement education with peers education. People go back to re-examine the value of mixed-age education, so many kindergarten began to explore and try mixed-age education. Due to objective conditions, rural kindergarten had to take a passive form of mixed-age classes compiled teaching organization. However,is mixed-age classes in rural kindergarten the real meaning of mixed-age education? Whether play the value of the mixed-age education? There are few researchers who did the in-depth study.This study adopts the method of observation, interviews, and questionnaire investigation of kaiyuan city rural kindergarten in investigation and study, found the kaiyuan city rural kindergarten mixed-age education just put the children in the mixed age classes, the only form of mixed age, not within the mixed age class on teaching children in accordance with the implementation of the mixed-age education characteristic, is not fully reflect the value of mixed-age education, is not really a mixed-age education.In view of the characteristics of rural kindergarten mixed-age education, this study on the rural kindergarten mixed-age education concept, mixed-age education curriculum, the organization form of mixed-age education, teachers’ teaching strategies in the mixed-age education, as well as the social from all walks of life support for mixed-age education question has carried on the deeper thinking and discussion, and tries to give the implementation of the rural kindergarten mixed-age education better to provide the reference.
