Education is always developing with the social development. Since the science and technology change fast in today’s society, the level of education must be changed so that it can adapt to the development of society and meet people’s education demand.Mathematics course content was made a series of adjustments after Chinese course revolution. In order to study the mathematics course’s teaching and the teaching effect after the adjustment.In this paper, we investigated the learning effect of students for derivative content, the teaching implementation of teachers in derivative content, the effect of teachers’ teaching on the derivative study of the students and change teaching strategies to help students learning derivative better.In this paper, we investigated the above problems from three aspects. Firstly, we investigated the difficulties of students in the study of derivative part. Secondly, we studied how the survey was implemented by the teachers in derivative teaching. Finally, we searched for factors of affecting of students learning from the teachers’ teaching, and then analyzed the effects of teachers’ teaching on students’ derivative learning according to classification of teachers and comparing of the students scores.We found that :(1) the display from the student survey results, the students do not know the formation processing of derivative concept and do not understand the concept of derivative limit. The application of derivative was as the focus of learning, especially in the absence of actual background application of fixed questions.(2) The investigation results show that the teaching form is based on teaching, the derivative limit thought was ignored, and the teaching was focused on the application of derivative.(3) There are three effects of teaching in derivative study of students. The students cannot experience the formation processing of the concept of derivative with the single teaching method. The students can’t really understand the concept of derivative because of limit thought in hidden explanation. The application of derivative was as the focus of teaching and the derivative concept learning was neglected to influence the understanding of the concept of derivative by students.Finally, we put forward the corresponding teaching strategies for this study:(1) paying attention to use the diversified teaching method,(2) strengthening the teaching of the key points of.
