Since 2001, the first batch of boarding schools in China, along with the continuous expansion of boarding schools and teachers’professional development, caretakers management problems has become a prominent issue in the construction of boarding schools. In order to improve the quality of education, boarding school should ensure the healthy physical and psychological development of boarding students, must build a noble ethics among teachers, excellent professional quality of caretakers.Caretakers as being students’ mentor, spiritual company, and the guardian, should be brought to the attention of the country and the respect of the society. However, in real life, because of the absence of caretakers access system, led to the numerous management problems and contradictions of caretakers.These problems mainly manifested by:shortage of young caretakers, unsuitable age structure; casual employment of caretakers, working without license; unbalanced student-teacher ratio, long working hours; poor treatments, unstable caretakers team; weak training pertinence, and lack of professional evaluation of six aspects of the system. Which leads management of caretakers has gradually fall into a vicious cycle.Boarding schools, under compulsory education phase, besides of self-bearing function of school education, also bear the function of family education. And the family education function part, is mainly undertaken by caretakers. Boarding schools in compulsory education stage is in a critical period for students physical and mental development, and caretakers accompany students during their daily life. So, adopt what kind of education means to achieve the goal of cultivating the excellent talents? This is a difficult problem that caretakers faced with. In order to guarantee the quality of "family education", it is necessary to establish a caretakers access system, rationalize the management of the caretakers through the source.Caretakers access system establishment should start with from the caretakers independent identity, by setting caretakers as permanent staff to promote professionalism, improve the life of treatment and social status of caretakers, based on the existing teacher access system and special nature of the caretakers, with "the ability to educate people", "management" as the center, build caretakers access system static and dynamic study evaluation system, laid a fine institutional basis for boarding school caretakers hiring and management.Finally, under the perspective of caretakers’ access system, this study put forward some suggestions on the caretaker management:First caretakers employment process should be standardized, government should pass laws that shows the direction of caretakers employment; Education administrative department should do well the first step of caretakers employment; the schools should be in accordance with the instructions, earnestly implement hiring caretakers procedure; should select talented professionals into caretakers team. Secondly, by pre-service training to urge caretakers get into their care-taking role ASAP, and to be clear with their own responsibilities. Thirdly, should strengthen caretakers’ special training, enrich the content of caretakers training contents, establish a rich variety of caretakers training methods. Lastly, should attach great importance to the evaluation of caretakers, build a complete evaluation system, and gradually establish a diversified caretakers evaluation body. In the evaluation process, should implement various methods, such as combination of a comprehensive and fair evaluation to evaluate caretakers.
