| Basketball playing has a wide range of mass base. With the development of society, students tend to like basketball increasingly and the basketball classes take larger and larger proportion in school physical education. The school basketball teaching activities make students master the standard basketball-playing technical movement and theoretical knowledge. Students can improve their physical quality, experience the joy of playing basketball and cultivate team spirit during the participation of basketball, which makes great benefit to students’ physical and mental health. Therefore, it is of great significance to encourage school basketball playing.This thesis is conducted with the use of the literature material law, questionnaire survey, interviewing method and mathematical statistics. The object of investigation is the twenty middle schools in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture.It is discovered through investigation that the outdoor basketball courts can meet the need of students while the indoor basketball courts are of scarcity. Besides, the proportions of the age of the teachers are not appropriate and the education background is not high. The middle school leaders in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture do not pay enough attention to the basketball education. The schools do not develop many basketball activities after class and the basketball games organized by countries and cities as well as the schools themselves, which meets the students’needs of basketball activities far from satisfaction. The academic pressure, the interest in basketball playing, the atmosphere of basketball playing, the weather and the climate, the traditional ideology of the parents, and firmware equipments are all factors that influence the development of basketball playing after classes in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture.On account of the issues found in the current status and influential factors of middle school basketball playing in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, suggestions are put forward as follows:Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture government and school leaders should pay more attention to the basketball activities and at the same time invest more to build indoor basketball courts which provides good support for the basketball development. Schools should cultivate more young physical educational teachers, especial female ones to gradually improve the appropriate distribution of the age of the teachers. In addition, middle schools should encourage PE teachers to participate in continuing education and training classes relate to basketball curriculum in order to improve the teachers’teaching ability and the overall quality of the whole teaching staff. The class hours of basketball education should be increased, and the teaching content and method should be enriched. Kinds of basketball campaign should be organized to create good atmosphere of basketball activities and cultivate the students’ interest in basketball. In the meantime, study pressure of the students in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture should be relieved and the traditional ideology of the parents also needs to be changed to support students engaged in various basketball activities. |
