| Since the implementation of "Student Physical Health Standard" sport activity between primary lessons has become an important measure to carry out "Sunshine Sports" activities. However students do not like it since the current physical activities are boring. It is simple and all the same, which mostly includes only track and field training. It is examination-oriented. Ball sports are universally loved by the pupils, among which especially volleyball,1 with its richness of cultural heritage, unique value of exercise and fun, is attracting more and more students to actively participate. This paper, which is based on physical and mental characteristics and the basic theory of volleyball teaching and training, establishes sport intervention program suitable for volleyball teaching and training for pupils. It takes 40 students from Zhongguancun No. Two Elementary School for the study and conducts a 12-week experiment of volleyball training intervention to explore the impact on physical and mental development of students by volleyball activities. Experimental results show that:volleyball training improves students’physical and mental qualities in varying degrees. It has positive effect on central nervous system, internal organs function and also strength, speed, jumping capability, agility, endurance and other physical qualities. It’s helpful to gain good psychological quality, develop tough quality and cooperation spirit and enhance resilience. Furthermore, campus volleyball activities can promote the popularity and enhancement of volleyball, and effectively cultivate outstanding volleyball talents. |
