Research On The College Student Affairs Administration From The Perspective Of Managing The University By Law

College student affairs administration is the activities of management and service. It isthe most major exchanges and contact between college and students besides education. It isthus clear that college student affairs administration has some particularity. Base on theparticularity of college student affairs management, we can use it as an important startingpoint to quicken the pace of school administration according to law and build a harmoniouscampus. College student affairs management activity is not the simple management ofstudents, college should lay special emphasis on services to students. Therefore, in theprocess of college student affairs management should fully protect the legal rights of collegestudents. To safeguard the rights of college students, it requires college student affairsmanagement activities can be conducted in accordance with the law. Under the background ofmanaging the university by law, we manage student affairs by law can not only protect thelegal rights of college students but also improve the level of managing the university by lawand national rule of law construction.Currently, College student affairs administration in the rule of law has made someachievements: It has preliminarily established the college affairs management related legalsystem and realize the update of the university management concept and management mode.The reform of college student affairs management in accordance with the law is graduallyformed in colleges. But we must see the problem behind the achievements: management ofcolleges and universities often clashed with the students’ legal rights, the existing disputessettlement mechanism also is not very reasonable, can’t solve the disputes between universityand student very well, college student affairs management team and also exist in legaleducation of different levels, etc.Paper through the literature analysis method to study the achievements and the existingproblems of college student affairs management, and use comparison method to comparecollege students affairs of China and the United States, then draw lessons from Americancollege student affairs. At the same time, combined with the actual situation of colleges in ourcountry, refer to the existing research results. On this basis, from the transformation management idea, perfecting legal system, perfecting the legal relief system, to strengthen theconstruction of management team, cultivating legal consciousness and so on five aspects putforward reforms aim at lawful college student affairs.
