Learning expectations, not only affects the students’ learning enthusiasm andparticipation, but also affects their learning goals, only the reality of college anduniversity students learning expectations will contribute to the better learningoutcomes,and even affect their future career in the long run. Existing research in Chinapay more attention to the outside world for the expectation of college students, foruniversity students as the main body of the expectations, especially study expect littleattention.In combination with the pedagogy and psychology, this study proposes the conceptof learning expectation. Based on the theory of expectancy theory, university influencemodel, based on Huazhong University of Science and Technology and WenHhuaCollege students questionnaire survey and interviews, to explore the learning of collegestudents "expect" and learn to harvest the distance between "reality", and to grade forvariable research on different groups of college students and colleges expectations andlearning gains. The results show that the college students’ expectations and learningoutcomes significant differences in grade and colleges, also confirmed that the collegestudents’ learning expectation on college students’ learning outcomes a significantprediction effect. On the basis of data statistics, from two aspects of personal factors andexternal factors to explore college students learning expectation formation and causes ofdifferences: personal factors including demographic characteristics (gender, students),family background, family social and economic background, parents’ education level),entrance before experience; External factors mainly include college experience internalenvironment, the social interpersonal interaction (colleges) and social environment.Thus, in this paper, by constructing and implementing expect to improve collegestudents learning outcomes countermeasures: attention and grasp the students’ learning expectations, improve the freshmen education and guidance; Reasonable to expecteducation to help college students to build learning expectation; Create a condition ofdifferent groups of college students’ learning expectation; College students learningexpectations and tracking implementation guidance; Encourage students, parents andsocial learning for college students build and implement the expectations play a positiverole.
