To cultivate the unique characteristic of the middle school to promote the individual development of every student is the effective way to push the education for all-around development, and realize the aim of strengthening the country through the human resources. This also meets the needs of people as well as the development of the school.On the basis of the multi-capacity theory, the life-cycle theory as well as the theory of education equity and effectiveness, the secondary school can and also need develop the unique characteristic to cultivate the talented students of diversification, realize the sustainable development of the school as well as promote the balanced development of the education resources.This paper makes a summary and an analysis of the development experiences of the Number Six Middle School of Quanzhou, Fujian Province to provide a case study for the featured theory with an aim to perfect the feature development of this school and push the feature development of other secondary schools.Under the guidance of the education policy of the country, and on the basis of the history and the present state, the school has put forward the development aim of ultimately cultivating students of different types and brought up the ambitions of developing a modern school of high quality, and distinctive features. Following the traditional motto of initiating Perseverance, the school has cultured the new student-oriented ideas of serving the growth and development of every student. Adhering to the ideas of developing featured school, flourishing the school with teaching and research, and bettering the school with innovation, the school has also formed the administering feature of equality, perseverance, and particularities. Now the school has featured a teaching staff of knowledge and action, which is noted for their efforts for surpassing. Also the school has been famous for its feature of multi-methods of comprehensively and attentively cultivating students and its spirits of striving for innovation.The ups and downs of the school in its development history has paved for the feature development of the school. This paper employs the SWOT to analyze the present state of the school to nail down the advantages as well as the disadvantages of the school and to deal with the opportunities and the challenges so that it can improve its feature development and set up the following development strategies to overcome its disadvantages and to bring its advantages to play.
