In recent years, the Chinese government has attached great importanceto the Marxism theory education in colleges and universities. Also,ourcountry has issued relevant guidance documents, such as:"on furtherimproving and strengthening the ideological and political education ofpoints"(2004),"on further strengthening and improving the opinions of thehigher school ideological and political theory course"(2005), etc. Thesefiles have became our country current university scientific and effectiveimplementation of the party’s education policy in the new era, have steadilypushed forward Marxism theory education teaching, have guides thetraining qualified personnel in accordance with the requirements of TheTimes. And these are aimed to the current Marxist theory in colleges anduniversities in the education goals, basic principles, main contents andeffectiveness evaluation of unified planning and comprehensive deployment.In view of this, we have performed the teaching reform in the nationalcolleges and universities, classroom teaching mode, teacher teamconstruction, teaching management and performance evaluation of activeexploration. We obtained a certain result, but we still see, manycontradictions and problems of college Marxism theoretical education stillexists. Under the new situation, how can we combine with the feature of era,the course characteristics and the student thought actually to explore the effective ways to implement the teaching of Marxist theory course incolleges and universities actively, has undoubtedly global significance. Thespread of colleges and universities is the mainstream political culture base,and undertaking the task of the students’ political socialization in the processof Marxism theory education is playing the role of spreading thepopularization, education and norms, which bear the unique role andinnovation, etc. Ideological and political theory course could be included asa public compulsory course in every professional curriculum system incolleges and universities, and the ideological and political theory course isbeyond the general sense of the knowledge system and has the function of"ideology". Therefore, analyzing the present situation and problems haspromoted Marxism theory education in colleges and universities, andexploring a more effective Marxism theory education implementation path,has implemented the popularization and promotion of Marxism in collegesand universities earnestly.This paper includes four parts:The first part is the introduction. Firstly, this paper has derived theresearch angle of view by inducting comprehensive related researchachievements of scholars both at home and abroad. And then it puts forwardintroducing the general situation of this thesis from the question, therelevant concepts, and the value of the research, ideas and methods. The second part has reviewed the history of Marxism theory educationin colleges and universities, combed the concept, nature, objectives andtasks of Marxism theory education in colleges and universities, and exploredthe history of the Marxism theory education in colleges and universities. Ithas also dug deeper research value and significance of this paper in order toobtain clear train of thought.The third part is the present situation and the challenges of Marxismtheoretical education in provincial engineering college. Through two aspectsof the analysis of the students’ characteristics in provincial engineeringcollege and the current situation of Marxism theoretical education inprovincial engineering college, we can concluded that the Marxismtheoretical education in provincial engineering colleges has faced with threechallenges: domestic social environment realistic factors, the influence ofthe negative factors such as lack of school education system, and theinfluence of the contemporary college students’ own factors.The fourth part is the countermeasures research of the education.Setting out actually, deep thinking, I have put forward the countermeasuresof Marxism theoretical education to perfect the provincial engineeringcollege. Firstly, it has given full play to the main channel of Marxist theorycourse in colleges and universities, such as main position by enrichingteaching contents, improving teaching methods, reforming examination way. Secondly, it has occupied the network position by changing the concept ofeducation, the use of network advantages. Finally, it has built a multi-leveland multi-channel education in Marxist theories. It should give full play tostudents’ self education function based on students party, youth leagueorganizations and explore the student associations to carry out a new way ofMarxism theory education of college students, in order to strengthen theconstruction of campus culture.
