With the development of higher education popularization in our country, the numberof disadvantaged students in colleges and universities are growing. The weakness of thecollege students have on the economy the most needy students at a disadvantage, a mentallydisabled students, students at a disadvantage in terms of physical, minority students anddisadvantaged students comprehensive abilities. Due to defects in a particular weakness, easyto cause the abnormal thoughts and behavior or unstable, to some extent, is harmonious,stability of the whole campus, become a major problem, the construction of harmoniouscampus must attach great importance to. This paper, taking the scientific outlook ondevelopment as guidance, to carry out the ideological and political education of collegedisadvantaged students as a starting point, to build a socialist harmonious campus as thefoothold, this paper USES the Chinese know nets, ten thousand party, VIP, school libraries,such as channel, and collecting and reading related books, documents and other materials. Inresearch analysis in the paper, using literature method, system analysis method, investigationmethod, such as analysis method, to define the connotation and types of disadvantagedstudents in colleges and universities, the analysis of this topic research results at home andabroad for reference, at the same time, to analysis the present situation of the mechanism ofdisadvantaged students ideological and political education in colleges and universities, thedefects and reasons for analysis. Gradually explores the disadvantaged students ideologicaland political education mechanism to build the content and method. Looking at the subject tostrengthen the weak students ideological and political education in colleges and universities,colleges and universities to help disadvantaged students groups share education resources andeducation fairness, achieve the comprehensive development of the "people-oriented" talent needs, in the aspect of promoting the construction of a harmonious campus is of greattheoretical and realistic significance.
