To build a Harmonious Campus is the inevitable development of the times. The new concept of a Harmonious Society was put forward on the Fourth Plenary Session Of the 16th Party Central Committee of the party, and set as a well-off society "four in one" target together with material civilization, political civilization and spiritual civilization. The construction of the University of Harmonious Campus is the inherent requirement of the Scientific Concept of Development. Human-oriented as the core value of higher education is reflected in all aspects of higher education. To build a harmonious campus is also the embodiment of education law. The construction of the University of Harmonious Campus reflects the value orientation of the school, and reflects the school's soft power. The pursuit of personal, intellectual and the harmonious development of society will be the concept of value orientation of the University of the 21st century. The development of a university should be a common upgrade of hard power and soft power, especially soft power. Soft power refers to the Cohesiveness of the school, attractive and centripetal force, building a harmonious University campus, creating a high quality of the cultural atmosphere in which the students thinking, understanding, purifying the soul, the distillation of personality, and improving their own. This harmony can help the school develop in its internal Cohesiveness, attractive, centripetal force and other sides. This is a soft power of a University.Sociologists classify the groups into formal and informal groups according to their structural characteristics. Informal Group is the group that its combination is natural, the activities of its members and the rational ship of them are without the express provision, and the organizational structure do not exist fixed form. The concept of Informal Group was first put forward in the famous Hawthorne Experiment by Mayo professor of the United States. In his view, the traditional management issues only pay attention to formal groups, and ignore the existence of the informal groups. The informal groups as intangible organizations have their special norms which affects the action of the members and the goal of it.As part of a community the college and university also have various informal groups, such as the townsmen association, cyber-friends, the Friends of spontaneous composition, and various interest groups, etc. Traditional research on the university ideological and political work always focus on the classes, party organizations, student unions, student organizations and simply describe the informal group as a phenomenon no organization and no disciplinary, or "small group" and "small gang". So the focus and research on the informal group in university is Inadequate. With the deepening of teaching reform and the implementation of the credit system, the traditional formal groups, the class collective, will gradually be broken. This is making the informal groups expand. The penetration rate is raising and the type has gradually diversified.This paper has five parts. In the first part this paper makes the overview of the informal group of the university with defining the concept of the informal group, describing the characteristics, type and typical form of the informal groups. In the second part, this paper analyzes the reason of the main reasons of them formed which includes the individual, campus environment and social factors. In the third part, this paper analyzes the positive role of negative effects in building a harmonious campus. In the forth part, we discuss the problems existing in using them to building a harmonious campus. These problems include the lack of awareness of students of informal groups, the complexity of it and the difficulty of management. In the last part, this paper put forward the principles and specific ideas on building a harmonious campus with the inform groups based on the analysis of the forth party.
