Study On The Value Of Xunzi’s Thought Of Rites In University Ideological And Political Education

The eighteen Party Congress report pointed out:"we should combine the rule of law and rule of virtue, strengthen social morality, occupation morality, family virtue, moral education, carry forward the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation and carry forward the era air." The Chinese traditional virtue is broad and profound, and has a long history. Xunzi is the outstanding representative of the Confucian School and the pre Qin philosophers thought synthesizer. The concept of value, mode of thinking and Aesthetic taste in his thought of rites give the people in contemporary society a profound inspiration and education. Under the guidance of socialist core values and combining the current situation of College Ideological and political education in our country, with the Principle of taking the essence to its dregs, this paper analyzes the connotation of Xunzi’s thought of rites, learns Confucianism thought of Xunzi, understands the essence of Confucianism thought of Xunzi’s philosophy, and finds the point of Xunzi’s thought of rites and thoughts political education in China’s universities. This is the basis and the significance for this topic. Based on the method of dialectical materialism and historical materialism as the guide and Using the relevant research achievements, this paper learns and discusses the value of Xunzi’s thought of rites in the ideological and political education in China’s universities mainly from the three directions by the basic method of comprehensively using literature research, comprehensively analyzing and combining theory with practice. First, through the analysis of "ritual and law combination" thought, analyzes and argues the enlightenment of combining "rule of law" and "rule by Morality" in the Ideological and political education of universities; Second, through the analysis of " rites and music combination" thought, analyzes the enlightenment of Xunzi’s thought of rites in the target, connotation and method of Aesthetic education in colleges and universities. Third, through the interpretation of "etiquette culture" thought, comprehensively analyzes the thought of" training both inside and outside"advocated by Xunzi,expand the connotation of moral education in Colleges and universities. Analysis shows that:the thoughts of "ritual and law combination"," unity of beauty and goodness","training education" in Xunzi’s thought of rites systematically expounds the thoughtway of law education, aesthetic education and moral education thought, and this has very good reference and enlightenment for us to further deepen and reform the ideological and political education, and create a new situation in the ideological and political education.
