This study is in the background to the new curriculum standard of physics in middle schoolphysics concepts teaching in middle school new goals and middle school physics conceptsteaching in electromagnetic problems. Middle school electromagnetics is a difficult point inphysics teaching in middle school, especially the concepts of teaching. Electromagnetic conceptsare the basis of electromagnetic theory, if students do not understand t hese concepts, electromagnetic law teaching is impossible. The electromagnetic concepts teaching is not onlyrelated to the students can learn electromagnetics and learn physics, but also related to thestudent’s further education. If we want to improve the teaching of electromagnetic concepts, wemust find out the existing problems in the teaching of electromagnetic concepts. Studies showthat one of the main reasons of the electromagnetics teaching difficulty is that there are manypreconceptions in the field. So I read a lot of literatures related electromagnetic preconceptions, at the same timecarefully reading the new middle school physics curriculum standard to understand thepreconception theory of home and abroad as well as on electromagnetic preconceptions researchpresent, as well as the middle school physics new curriculum standard of requirements forelectromagnetic concepts teaching in middle schools. The author found that many domestic andforeign scholars have conducted research in this field and obtained a lot of results, but there arealso many problems. For example, many studies are focused on the part of electromagnetism, butwhich has not been studied systematiclly, we know that the electromagnetics is a whole, there areall kinds of connections with the connections between every concept, such research is verydifficult to influence concept teaching on the electromagnetics fundamentally; while someso-called research on electromagnetic preconceptions would be more in name than in reality, because many of these studies is about students to understand and use the law ofelectromagnetics; there are a number of studies have investigated only wrong preconcept ions ofstudents, but ignore the correct preconceptions of students. So I decided to make an investigationon electromagnetic preconceptions of junior middle school students. The author selected eight of the most basic concepts of electromagnetics (charge, current, voltage, resistance, electric field, magnetic field, electric field line, magne tic induction line),under the guidance of tutor prepared questionnaire, hoping to find the preconceptions exist inthese most basic concepts of electromagnetics. After the initial test and questionnaire revision,we conducted a questionnaire survey and interviews on Nanning No.47school’s students withthe final questionnaire, found out the preconception exists in the basic concepts of electromagnetics, and then the causes of these concepts are analyzed, found out the causes oftheir. In the basis to identify causes of students’ electromagnetic preconceptions of theelectromagnetic concepts teaching in middle school, the paper put forward some suggestions. Wehope to provide a theoretical basis for future research in this field, and provide a reference forelectromagnetic concepts teaching in middle school.Of course, because of the author’s limited level and various aspects condition, there are stillmany shortages of this study. The main shortage of this paper are: Because the data analysis isheavy and the limited time, the sample of selected is not big enough, there may be somepreconceptions was not found. This is the future research directions.
