In recent years, the rapid development of China’s economy has brought seriousenvironmental problems. Ecological destruction is worsening and the shortcomings ofindustrial civilization is increasingly obvious, so ecological civilization emerged. Ecologicalcivilization is a form of civilization after primitive civilization, agricultural civilization,industrial civilization, whose core idea is sustainable development.Construction of ecologicalcivilization has become the new requirements of building a moderately prosperous society.With the position of construction of ecological civilization increasingly prominent, it givesChina’s higher education new demands and challenges. In order to understand nature, explorenature and deal with the relationship between man and nature, modern universities, especiallythe agricultural and forestry universities,should bear the mission and strengthen students’ecological civilization education in response to the ecological crisis. Agriculture and Forestryuniversities have a wealth of ecological educational resources. We should make full use ofthese resources to build a reasonable and effective course to enhance the ecological awarenessof college students, to develop their attitudes and emotional to nature and ecological practicein life.On the basis of previous studies, this papers can be divided into five parts. The first partis an introduction. From the purpose and significance, based on the literature review describes,it describes the research content, research ideas and research methods. The second partfocuses on some issues related to ecological civilization education courses in agricultural andforestry universities. It mainly includes the concept of ecological civilization and ecologicalcivilization education; ecological civilization qualities in agricultural and forestry universities.Then it presents the theoretical basis of the ecological civilization education course. The thirdpart is to build the goals of ecological civilization education courses. It first discusses thethree factors that affect the target,and next discusses the methods and procedures.After that,it takes Northwest A&F University as an example to conduct ecological civilization literacy tolearn the Students’ ecological civilization literacy situation.Then combined with the results ofexpert meetings method, itsummarized the goals of ecological civilization educational courses.The fourth part is to build the ecological civilization educational courses in agriculturalandforestry university. On the basis of the course goals, the principles are presented in thispart. Then it selects the appropriate courses to build libraries, and finally the content ofecological civilization educational courses are organized in a modular way. The last part is theimplementation and evaluation of ecological civilization educational courses designed tofurther improve the ecological civilization educational courses.The main objective of this study presents the goals of ecological civilization educationcourses in agricultural and forestry universities, and builds the ecological civilizationeducation courses which have the features of agricultural and forestry universities. There arethree main innovations in this article. The first is that ecological civilization education coursesbroads the routes of ecological civilization education. The second is that the methods whichdetermine the goals is more targeted.The third is it has an innovative way of organizing thecourse content.
