When we enter the twenty-first Century, we have to face the situations that challenges from economic globalization and cultural diversity, complex social and economic environment, diversified social demands, and so on. It’s a important problem that modern higher education have to face. This thesis is on the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical researching. It’s about the ideological and political education to enhance the function of students’ inadequate social adaptability. From the background that social need diversify ability but college students couldn’t do well in social development, the thesis reveal the phenomena and problems that most college graduates cannot do well in adapting the society, for example, in the learning process, students in a state that irresponsible for themselves, cope with each other,and make phony grade; In the daily management, the leaders of school only pay attention to restrictions and fetters, but put a little notice in some relevant system on college students’ social practice; In the class, the university teachers are lack of humanistic care for students, too old teaching method, and their own moral quality cannot catch up with the social development, and so on. At last, the thesis explore the causes, and then to find the methods to solve this problem. In addition, some countermeasures and solutions to guide the whole paper. According to the students, teachers and universities, analysis of all aspects of inadequacies, and find some suggestions and strategies in a time. The purpose is to strengthen students’ social adaptability, to increase the rate of employment, to promote the development of ideological and political education.
