There is large power distance in China, and abusive supervision as a negative leadership behavioris quite common. Abusive supervision can lead to negative emotional experience of employees, and it is notconducive to the response of organizations or individuals, either. With the improvement of relevant studiesof abusive supervision, the intervention studies toward abusive supervision coping style also come intosight. This essay mainly focuses on how to guide employees to take an active coping style through effectiveinterventions.The research methods of literature analysis and questionnaire are adopted in this essay to test themediating effect in” abusive supervision--negative emotions--negative coping style”. Then implement theemotional interventions which are based on positive psychology to improve the coping style in whichemployees deal with abusive supervision.According to the resilient effects and broaden and build theory of positive psychology, theincrease of individual positive emotions can not only reduce or remove negative emotions but also guideindividual awareness in order to promote individuals to behave positively through the integration ofpsychological resources. And forgiveness interventions can alter individual awareness as well assignificantly reduce the level of negative emotions; mindfulness training can help to reduce the level ofindividual negative emotions, improve the level of positive emotions, and raise the level of regulatoryemotional self-efficacy. That is to say, the positive emotional interventions which combine forgivenessinterventions and mindfulness training not only can change the awareness of individuals but also canreduce the level of individual negative emotions significantly, enhance the level of positive emotions andstrengthen the regulatory emotional self-efficacy. Thus individuals could be helped to reduce the negativeresponse, and to choose positive coping styles.This essay finally draws the conclusion as follows by adopting some statistical methods, such asconfirmatory factor analysis, independent-samples t test,&Wilcoxon paired test.Firstly, negative emotions have partial mediating effect towards abusive supervision of employersand negative responses of employees. Secondly, positive emotional intervention which is combined with forgiveness intervention andmindfulness training could reduce the negative emotion level of the employees who suffer from the abusivesupervision and improve their positive emotion level and emotional self-efficacy.Thirdly, positive emotional intervention helps to improve the way employees deal with abusivesupervision and to choose a positive response.
