Because of rapid urban population growth, insufficient sports venuesspread of high-density buildings, unable to meet residents ’ desire for fitness. So, thesquare appeared, to a new, open public space as an extension of indoor living, easyand meet the inhabitants of the fitness, communication, entertainment, leisure,sightseeing needs. This research using literature information law, and questionnaireinvestigation law, and interviews law, on Zhengzhou square sports culture of status doa research and analysis, purpose is enhanced residents physique, and promotion bodyhealth, help residents formed lifelong sports exercise of consciousness, makesZhengzhou square sports culture rooted; meaning is promotion city spiritual ofconstruction, upgrade city harmony civilization of image, led City economic healthfast of development, active publicity and implementation universal fitness activities,advance social health harmony of development, While China’s fledgling square to thefurther development of sports culture research for reference. Theoretically this studyaims to further improve the Plaza sports and cultural theory, from practice to squarethe three dimensions of physical culture (physical dimension, level, mental level),analyzed, and made suitable for the sports culture of Zhengzhou city squaredevelopment of personal insights and suggestions.Results of the present study were as follows:(1) Regularly participate in square of Zhengzhou city in physical exercise of therespondents, the highest proportion of old people aged45and over, and relating to thenatural environment of Zhengzhou city square, Plaza fitness path, respondents moreemphasis.(2) Physical exercise with regard to the objective differences in participationsquare, men and women respondents in "slimming""square exercise at no cost," therewas a significant difference in two dimensions; male and female respondents had aspouse does not participate in physical exercise because of differences in terms of thesquare,"lazy" dimension has a very significant difference.(3) Respondents to participate in exercises of the Plaza, whether it’s malerespondents were female respondents, followed by a fixed percentage of partnersfrom high to low Supreme, followed by temporary partners, alone and the lowest.(4) Respondents to participate in exercise followed by the purpose of the square:enhance physical fitness, exercise in the square does not charge any fees; excludeloneliness; air purifiers of the square; weight, and so on. Respondents ’ attitudestowards square sport, female respondents Plaza than males prefer to participate in physical exercise.(5) At present the main characteristic of the sports culture of Zhengzhou citysquare: participation in the diversity and enthusiasm of the subject, Plazaentertainment and richness of content, ease of information sharing and universality,diversity and participation purposes in time.(6) The present problems of sports culture of Zhengzhou city square are:physical culture consciousness of residents in Zhengzhou city square is not enoughstrong fitness facility in Zhengzhou city square is not perfect; insufficient number andsize of Zhengzhou city square; survey of consumer awareness is not high relative lackof instructors of social in Zhengzhou city square; sports culture of Zhengzhou citysquare is still in the early stages.
