| Postmodernism is a kind of pan-cultural thoughts which came into being in the1960s inthe western developed country. It involves art, literature, history, politics, ethics, philosophy,ideology, and many other areas. In the1980s, it was introduced into China. Postmodernismhas been made a great impact on90s’ ideas and behavior through more than thirty years ofdevelopment. Since it makes reconsiderations and criticisms on modernity, advocatesmulti-dimensional and diverse thinking, promotes equality and openness, which not onlybroadens contemporary college students’ horizons, but also helps them learn from a differentperspective on the development of society. But on the other hand, it difficult to them tounderstand the Postmodernism’s accurate meaning, which brings about many negativeconsequences, which is contrary to traditional Chinese thoughts and education requirements,such as the puzzle on political beliefs, the confusion of the beliefs, the opposition to authority,serious psychological problems, aggressive thoughts and behaviors, and missing of sense ofresponsibility. Moreover, postmodernism impacts doubly on the contemporary collegestudents, who were born after1990s, and who shouldering the task of prosperity andprosperity of our country. Therefore, our most urgent task is to study the impact of thepostmodernism to the contemporary college students and to find out a way of the ideologicaland political education.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part analyzes the background and researchideas, current research on domestic, difficulties faced by the study and the solutions. Thesecond part describes the sources, conception, basic features, the relevance with the Marxism,evaluation and the reason of developing in China of the Postmodernism. The third partdetailed analyses the Post-modernism tendency of90s’ college students’ Political view,Consumer attitudes, Employment outlook, Network view and Event view, which includespositive tendency, but also contains negative tendency. The forth part analyses thecharacteristics of90s’ students under the impact of Postmodernism based on the last part. Thefifth part rethinks the current idea and mode of the university educational administrationunder the view of Postmodernism. And the last part puts forward some countermeasures andsuggestions related: developing college students’ subjectivity, ricking the educational carrier,implementing recessive education, constricting the environment of “development modeâ€,conforming to the self-development consciousness of college students, accepting students’differentiation, advocating personalized development, paying attention to morality educationand so on. With these suggestions, we hope the college administrators would pay moreattention to the90s’ good qualities in order to promote their healthy growth and success. |
