The concept of marriage and love is the view and attitude towards marriage, love and sex, which is a reflection of people’s values on marriage, an important content of social moral construction, as well as an important approach to carrying forward the socialist core values. “Post-90s” students shoulder the hope of the motherland and the future of the nation, so their marriage problems not only affect their individual normal study and life, but also dominate the marriage value orientation of the society as a whole in the future. In recent years, the number of negative social phenomena and criminal cases arising from marriage problems has been increasing. “Post-90s” college students, who fail to handle properly those problems concerning love and marriage due to lack of mental maturity, are likely to take extreme measures, thus bringing social instability factors, and damaging the harmonious development of society. Therefore, it is the top priority of college ideological education workers to actively explore the marriage education contents, means and methods for “post-90s” college student to help them set up correct concept of marriage and love.This paper summarizes the positive aspects and the existing problems of the concept if marriage and love of “post-90s” college students through the survey of the status quo of “post-90s” students’ concepts and analyze the causes of the problems. From the perspective of ideological and political education, this paper points out the guiding ideology and basic principles for marriage education with the demands on civic virtues into consideration. On this basis, it puts forward targeted and practical advice to provide valuable reference for the theoretical research and practical exploration of the marriage concept education of “post-90” college students.The body of this paper is divided into four parts:The first part mainly elaborates related concepts and the connotation of the concept of marriage and love. Based on the elaboration of the concepts concerning the “post-90s” college students, marriage and love as well as viewpoint of marriage, this paper analyzes the characteristics of the “post-90s” students and of their viewpoints of marriage and interprets the connotations of the concept of marriage and love from the viewpoints on love, mate selection, marriage and sex thus laying a foundation for the theme of the paper.The second part analyzes the status quo of the concept of love and marriage of the “post-90s” students. This part explains the positive aspects of the concept and points out the main problems existed in the opinions on love and marriage of the “post-90s” students through the interpretation of the design and the survey of questionnaires.The third part analyzes the main factors influencing the formation of their opinions about love from four aspects namely individual, family, school and the society, laying a foundation for putting forward countermeasures.The fourth part proposes the value orientation of marriage education and basic countermeasures for “post-90s” college students with the core value of socialism as the guide. Based on the scientific rationality principle, difference principle, the principle of human nature, and together with the practical principle, this paper proposes that marriage education for the “post-90s” students should consist of four parts namely the views on love, mate selection, marriage and sex; individuals, families, schools, and the society should take effective measures to guide students to set up the correct concept of marriage and love.
