The Sunshine Sports was decided by the Educational Ministration, the GeneralAdministration of Sports and the Youth League in the Implementation of the nationalhundreds of millions of students sunshine sports movement decision issued in2007, whichwas called by The Sunshine Sports for short. The Sunshine Sports aims at build up thestudents’ body. In the past six years, The Sunshine Sports has achieved lots influences.althouth the health of the students has been improved, The Sunshine Sports has far fromacquired its purpose. The main reason of the lag is the scarce of the diversity of the sports andthe group-work. Especially the high school students born in the90s are creative andindifferent to the simple contents of The Sunshine Sports. So the main problem needing to besolved is to diversify the forms of The Sunshine Sports and promote the students’ interest toit.Cheerleading, the rising event, has a great value of collectivity and body-building, whoseaim is consistent with The Sunshine Sports and the features of the senior students.Cheerleading refreshes the The Sunshine Sports. The study has applied the literature materiallaw, interviewing, investigation, experiment, the mathematical statistics and logical analysisto investigate the status of The Sunshine Sports and the involvement of the Cheerleading intoThe Sunshine Sports. The practice proved that the Cheerleading can be used in The SunshineSports. We reached the following conclusions;1. The attitude of the teachers and the students toward The Sunshine Sports has beenimproved. The athletic events between boys and girls are different. The exercise timeadded, but it’s still less than the standard “one hour”. The faculty and the investment is themain impetus of The Sunshine Sports.2. Cheerleading is enforceable in The Sunshine Sports. It’s conforms to the requirements ofThe Sunshine Sports,the high school and the physical and mental development of highschool students. It can also change students’ attitude toward The Sunshine Sports.3. The lack of professional faculty, sponsor and the whole understanding of theCheerleading, especially the absence of the quality evaluation is the main reason thatimpedes the integration of the Cheerleading into The Sunshine Sports. 4. Cheerleading can be chosen as an optional course in P.E class, it can also blend in thesetting-up and the school show, enriching the school life of high school students.
