With the deepening of the New Curriculum Reform and the more and morefierce competition in the current social situation, it appears increasingly valuable toattach great importance to the cultivation of students’ non-intelligence factors.Compared with the other subjects, geography has the unique advantage in trainingstudents’ non-intelligence factors. However, there is no lack of problems consideringnon-intelligence aspect in the high school geography teaching at present time.Consequently, the writer is concerned to take various strategies in geography teachingto perfect the high school students’ non-intelligence traits.Under the background of the New Curriculum Reform, this thesis put forwardthe research questions on non-intelligence factors in the geography teaching processat high school. Firstly, with the purpose of understanding the present situation ofstudents’ non-intelligence development in the high school geography teaching, theauthor carried out a questionnaire survey. And then, based on the data derived fromthe questionnaire investigation, this study analyzes and presents the major existingproblems as to cultivating high school students’ non-intellectual factors during theprocess of geography teaching. Finally, this paper put forward relevant strategies andmeasures to solve these problems, with the aim of fostering better exploration andapplication of high school students’ non-intellectual features for geography teachingand learning.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part provides an overview of theresearch background, research status at home and abroad, the research significance,the research design and thinking, as well as the research method in this paper. Thesecond part mainly expounds the theoretical basis involved in this paper, whichmainly involves the definition of non-intelligence factors, psychological theory basisand the modern educational theories touched upon in this research. The third partfocuses on understanding and analyzing the current situation of high school students’non-intelligence factors in geography teaching on the basis of the data collected fromthe questionnaire survey, which mainly including the high school students’ motivation,interest, willpower, values of emotional attitude, learning habits such five aspects. Thefourth part, in view of the existing problems that concluded in the last chapter, theauthor proposed appropriate strategies for cultivating high school students’non-intellectual factors through geography teaching and learning, mainly by use of thegeography curriculum resources. These strategies, combined with different types ofgeography curriculum resources, primarily aim at developing high school students’ motivation, interest, willpower, emotional-attitude values and habits, which are allcovered by non-intelligence factors. The last part offers a conclusion and thelimitations of this study.
