The principal leadership ability is an important part of the school’s development andgrowth, and to teachers also have a major impact. Principal’s leadership and schoolperformance has close relationship. Speaking from Hainan, the high school principalleadership ability is at the middle level leadership, and performance is at the middle level too.One of the important issues facing the Middle school of Hainan is how out of the woods thenget a breakthrough, because our country is at a new high school curriculum reform at this time.The community leadership level principals made increasing demands, school principals aseducational leaders and managers, and their level of leadership is reflected in all aspects ofschool management. The headmaster as school leaders and managers, their level of leadershipis reflected in all aspects of school management. School performance is implementing theeducation policy, improve the overall level of the teachers and scientific manage school.Research by the principals of domestic and foreign research results and performanceleadership to organize, using the validity of the power of good principals’ leadership andperformance tables for secondary school principals Hainan scale measurements, a total of230questionnaires,192valid questionnaires and the questionnaires effective rate of83.5%. Allthe questionnaires are used by SPSS17.0statistical software for descriptive statistics,independent samples T-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis and other statisticaltechniques to analyze, draw the following conclusions:1. Secondary School Principals’ Leadership of Hainan in the middle level;2. Performance of Hainan middle School at the middle level;3. Principals’ leadership and performance have a significant positive correlation;4. Principals’ structure leadership has a distinct predictor on task performance andcontextual performance;5. Principals’ instructional leadership has a distinct predictor on task performance andcontextual performance;6. Principals’ cultural leadership has a distinct predictor on task performance andcontextual performance;7. Principals’ political leadership on the relationship has a distinct predictor on task performance and contextual performance;8. Principals’ interpersonal leadership on the relationship has a distinct predictor on taskperformance and contextual performance;9. Principals’ leadership has a distinct predictor on the performance.
