This article takes classical Chinese in compulsory senor Chinese textbook publishedby Jiangsu educates publisher as the object of study. With the methods of literature study,firstly, I analyze the importance of basic knowledge of classical Chinese teaching in seniorhigh school from three aspects: the language value, the requirements of college entranceexamination and the disconnect of junior and senor high school teaching. Then I analyzethe current situation of students’ weakness of basic knowledge if classical Chinese fromthree aspects: understanding of knowledge points, ability of recognition and memorizationand dynamic understanding. As to the reasons, textbook is the first one. The system incompulsory senor Chinese textbook published by Jiangsu educates publisher isunsatisfactory: vernacular and classical Chinese mix; article is not well chosen; theexercise system is not perfect. Secondly, the teacher, students and society are allresponsible for it. Finally, using the practice verification method, combining teaching caseand students practical difficulties during the process of teaching, I explore a suitablestrategy for students to improve their level of classical Chinese, namely "reasonable use ofteaching materials, optimization of teaching content": first, properly adjust the teachingorder to enhance coherence; second, choose the teaching content independently andconsolidate basic knowledge; third, optimize the exercise system to strengthen basicknowledge.
