‘Sports, Art2+1Project’ is an education experiment which is developed by theMinistry of Education about sports health and art education in2004, and is carried out in15nationwide demonstration areas of the extracurricular activities of engineeringexperiment. This project aims to let each of the students in the nine-year compulsoryeducation phase can handle two sports skills and an art specialty by both inside and outsideof the school classes of physical education and art education activities. The project alsoaims to lay good foundation for the all-round development of students.‘Sports, Art2+1Project’ is gradually developing in the national compulsory education school recently.Changzhou, as the first national demonstration zone, has achieved gratifying resultsbecause of the lead in ‘Sports, Art2+1Project’ experimental research which has beentaken by Changzhou Foreign Languages since many years ago.The paper adopt methods include documentation, questionnaire, expert interview andstatistic analytical method. Through the investigation and analysis on organization andmanagement, carry-out form, evaluation and effect in ‘Sports, Art2+1Project’, this papergives the following conclusions:1. The effectiveness of the management, effectivemeasures of system and variety of means about ‘going out and coming in’ are theguarantee of success for the project in Changzhou Foreign Languages School.2.Changzhou foreign language school use physical education and health class as a platformfor sports skill teaching system. In order to consolidate the students’ sports skills, we makeit regularly (2times per week), designated site (fixed), fixed guide teachers. The optional2+1project in the form of clubs can help and this is also the effective way to theimplementation of sports.3. The Skill Standers of ‘Sports, Art2+1Project’ developed byChangzhou Foreign Languages School are in strict accordance with the science, health andinterest. The standers can be easily used and they have already objectively reflected on ‘Sports, Art2+1Project’.4. Through the ‘sports, art2+1project’ in the implementationof the sport, students’ interest on ball project occupies first place, their interest in doingsports and their sport’s skills have obvious improved.‘Student physical health standard’test the success rate of progress is remarkable. The special physical education teachers’levels also have got great improvement. All these above has proved that theimplementation of the sports effect about ‘Sports, Art2+1Project’ is remarkable.
