To study the relationship between Internet Dependence of college students andthe behavioral decision-making process, designed a measuring tool based on the theory ofPlaned behavior, and made a survey in5University in Sichuan and Guangdong province, combining with the adapted Internet Dependence measuring tools.1500students from fivecollege attended this survey and1221questionnaire were totally effective.222students werediagnosed as internet dependence, the ratio of internet dependence has raised compared withthe study before. The ratio of Internet Dependence in male students was significantly higherthan that in female students, and male students’ score was significantly higher than femalestudents’ too. There was also a significant difference in different grades. The ratio of InternetDependence in sophomore group was significantly higher than the other grades.Therelationship between behavioral decision-making and Internet Dependence were presented asfollow:(1) The Attitude to internet use can predict the intention, and influenced the internetdependence by the mediating effect of behavioral intention.(2) Subjective Normal predictedthe behavioral intention and the Internet Dependence, and the behavior intention exerted apartly mediating effect between Subjective Normal and Internet Dependence.(3) Perceivedbehavioral control influenced the intention and behavior too, intention exerted a partlymediating effect between Perceived behavioral control and behavior. The result indicated thebeliefs behind the Attitude towards internet use and the Subjective Normal and PerceivedBehavioral control, in accordance with these beliefs, we realized the importance of beliefs, that inspired us how to educate the students.
