Swimming is an ancient sport is still in use today and has become a necessarysurvival skills of modern social production and lif. People pay more attention toSwimming today. At present, with the continuous construction of Heilongjiang Provinceordinary university swimming pool, swimming course has become an important part ofpublic sports courses in Colleges and universities, but because the swimming lessonopened so much, many problems had caused in the teaching progress. In this paper,using the method of literature, questionnaire, interviews and mathematical statistics,investigation and Research on optional courses on public swimming from six collegesand universities of Heilongjiang Province, a comprehensive understanding of the overallcourse of curriculum implementation status of elective college public swimming in ourprovince, summarizes the existing advantages and disadvantages and try to fand theproblems in the implementation of the course, and as a theoretical reference ofswimming curriculum implementation for our school and other universities.The results showed: school leadership and teachers think swimming lessons shouldreach the goal which must to master the swimming skill, but the students think thecourse must to meet their own interests at first. Students interested in higher learningswimming course. The teacher should be considered in open the lifesaving class courses.The university swimming class hours can meet the needs of students, and finish theteaching task within the prescribed period. Five schools opened swimming theorycourses, practice class number class arrangements have great differences betweenschools. Freestyle and breaststroke are mean technologies in teaching of Heilongjiangsix university, and students want to learn swimming which include freestyle andbreaststroke. Students generally reflect the course should open the lifesaving skills.Most teachers think must open swimming course. teacher mainly use explanation anddemonstration and complete decomposition method and group teaching method, butstudents say the packet and the overall unity of teaching methods will be more helpfulto improve learning. Teachers in swimming performance appraisal value comparedwith the attitude of students. Most of the students are satisfied with the examinationsystem. Professional teachers in Colleges and universities of Heilongjiang swimming isdeficient, and arrangement of age of teachers are reasonable. Most teachers and students tend to divide students into different classes according to gender or standard.
