Constructivism learning theory is the most lasting and the widest effectiveeducational theory in the nearly20years. Constructivism learning theory includesconstructivism view of knowledge, learning and teaching. Constructivismknowledge-based view emphasizes that knowledge is the understanding and meaningconstruction of objective things on the basis of individual experience. Constructivismlearning view considers that studying is the inner structure change of the individual. Itemphasizes that student is the center and the subject of study. Constructivism teachingview underlines that student is the learner in its true sense, and the ultimate goal ofteaching is to help the student to construct the knowledge. Teacher is the guider and thehelper in constructing knowledge period of the student, is the advanced partner in thestudying of the student, and teacher should help the student actively to complete themeaning construction of the new knowledge effectively.According to the literature and the action research method, teaching experimentsunder the direction of constructivism learning theory has been carried out, and theteaching method of scaffolding instruction, anchored instruction, random accessinstruction and cooperative instruction, etc, has been explored preliminarily inbiological teaching of high school, which provided reference and basis for biologicalteaching reformation in high school. After researching, it was found that remarkable effect would be obtained afterusing the teaching method flexibly under direction of constructivism learning theory instimulating the learning interest, improving the learning initiative, training thecomprehensive abilities of the student. Better result has achieved after reasonable usingof anchored instruction, scaffolding instruction and random access instruction method inthe biological teaching of high school, but slightly less after using the cooperativeinstruction method. Reasonable using of constructivism learning theory in the educationneeds further exploration and study of all the teachers. In this case, student would obtainmore and better knowledge content in the limited subject teaching time, improve theircomprehensive quality, and establish solid foundation for the work and study in thefuture.
