Language is a part of culture and also a mirror of culture. Through the language of a country, people are able to glimpse of this country colorful culture. The final purpose of learning a foreign language is to obtain the ability of learning foreign culture. In year2003, cross cultural awareness was the first time explicitly promulgated in Ordinary High School English Curriculum Standard as one of the goals of English course in high school. New Curriculum Standard not only clearly points out the cultural awareness contains cultural knowledge, cultural understanding, cross-culture communication awareness and ability, but makes out the specific content standards. This fully shows that culture teaching and the cultivation of the cross-culture awareness has been from a concept into high school classroom, and penetrates into practical ESL classroom.English class is the main platform for the students to learn language knowledge, and so there should be more teaching about the foreign culture in the English class teaching. In fact, there are many ways to complete the culture teaching and permeation, among which the most effective one is to integrate the culture teaching into the English class teaching. Making the culture teaching as the background will help the student know the real process of the language, thus to help students to grasp the development of the language and they can have deep understanding of the language, so it is easy to inspire their interest and ability of innovation and creation.
