Function is the main content of high school mathematics, the function of learningthrough the whole high school mathematics. Function, algebra, equation,and inequality havevery close connection. It is an important foundation for further learning of mathematics.Therefore, the function has been a hot topic in the college entrance examination proposition,grasping the function is equivalent to the half of the country in high school mathematics. Butat the same time, it is a relatively difficult place for students to learn. The concept of function,understanding of image properties and applications are students’weak point. With three yearsof teaching experiences, we must first overcome this difficulty function to learn function well.This paper studies the following several aspects:(1) Students’attitude are understood bythe survey in Lingshui high school. And we can understand the function of learning the erroroccurred during the the problem-solving, presented as a teacher to correct errors of theirstudents and help them form positive “error” concept;(2) By analysis of the students’test, theactual problem-solving cases, combining teaching cases of three years of teaching practice,common types of errors are classified mainly from the conceptual understanding of thefunction, understanding of image properties, a function of the actual application of thethree-level nature of the problem to expand;(3) Combined student errors when solvingfunctions, we analyze the cause of the errors deeply, and analyzed various angles fromstudents’ psychology, logic, thinking, and so on to find out the source of the error, so that youcan remedy when teaching;(4) The reason for the students’errors in learning function, theteaching suggestions are as follows:Teachers should actively guide students to help studentsunderstand the nature of the function concept, and complete the construction of the newfunction concept of; By plotting the students’ability to interpret drawings cultivation, and to solve the problems with function image are improved;We enable students to use mathematicalideas, using mathematical models to help them overcome difficulties in learning function,reduce errors. So a function of the learning task can be easily accomplished.This study could provide valuable reference for the majority of teachers colleagues tohelp students in underdeveloped regions of Hainan learn function, and mathematics better.
