Information technology and curriculum integration are not only the resultof development of the former, but also the requirement of basic educationcurriculum reform program (Trial) in2001. Curriculum revolution needs torealize the changes of teaching mode, learning style and the interactionbetween teachers and students and makes full use of the advantage ofInformation technology, thus offering a rich mixture of educationalenvironment and helpful learning tools to students’ studying and developing. This paper focused a study on how to integrate the central-conceptsteaching in biology with information technology and made some teachingexperiment, taking classes in remote areas in countryside for instance. Thispaper expounded relevant conceptions on integration between informationtechnology and the central-concepts teaching and pointed out that this kind ofintegration is organic combination of information technology in the process ofthe central-concepts teaching in middle school, making closer relationshipbetween information technology and the structure of middle school biologycurriculum, course content, curriculum resources, curriculum implementation, letting the teacher complete the central-concepts teaching in biology on abetter way. Then by the experimental method, this paper analyzed choosingcentral-concepts and discussed some relevant teaching strategies inintegration between the core-concepts teaching in biology and informationtechnology. Studies have shown that information technology and curriculumintegration plays a nonnegligible role in building central concepts and thatteachers should pay attention to the combination with some other teachingstrategies. As a result, students’ learning style can be changed fundamentallyand essential attributes can be understood by learners.
