In recent years, some education workers have put forward “Life-oriented moraleducation theory”, expecting to improve the effectiveness of the Middle school moraleducation work, in view of the fact that moral education in middle school was not idealin China. Based on the criticism of the traditional school moral education, the theoryargues that the school moral education should start from the students’ real lives andeventually return to their lives.“Life-oriented moral education theory” is of greatsignificance to promote the change and development of the middle school ideologicaland moral education courses, improve the middle school students’ moral practice ability,and enhance the effect of teachers’ moral education. Using the methods of literature,observation, experience summary, this study combs the "life education" theory. Throughthe analysis of the existing problems in the current middle school ideological and moraleducation, the thesis puts forward and discusses how life moral education theory can beused in the high school ideological and moral education.Life is the starting point of moral education and somewhere the moral educationwill eventually go.“Life-oriented moral education theory” regards life as the foundation,takes the student as ontology, and sees practice as the approach to raise the student goodmoral quality. The theory emphasizes the students experiencing moral in real life,making integration and internalization in practice, and really understanding what ismoral, what is life. And finally the students can internalize moral requirements intomoral quality.There are some problems existing in the middle school ideological and moraleducation courses, such as the obvious utilitarianism of the moral education goals, thedogma of the moral education content and lack of flexibility of moral educationmethods. The key problem is the moral deviating from the student’s actual life.Therefore, the “Life-oriented moral education theory” is much valuable in this field. Onthe basis of theory research and practice reflection, the author puts forward some effective ways in which the theory of life moral education is applied in middle schoolideological and moral education: First, education goals should face all the students,close to life, and focus on the different characteristics of students. Second, the educationcontents should be diversified, and a trinity ideological and moral education systemamong family, school, society should be established. Third, education methods shouldmake three transformation, namely from the closeness to opening, from the pressure toguidance and from the conservative type to innovation one.This paper, through research, analysis, induction and refinement, strives to make abeneficial exploration to improve the actual effect of ideological and moral education inmiddle school.
