On the days that education is becoming more and more important, the vast majority ofcountries in the world have agreed universally that we can’t achieve the goal of educatingyong children well without the cooperation of their families.The development speed ofscience and technology in the modern society is very quick, access to information is veryconvenient, so young children can receive education not only through schools but alsothrough many other channals. Numerous channels of education have different effects onthe students, some of which are good and able to promote school education actively, somehave negative resisting effects on the normal education in the schools, weakening thefunction of school education, or even worse making the students confused about theirvalues. Some students form a wrong outlook on their life and the world, and some studentseven break laws and commit crimes. This situation has led to a series of social problems. Inthis case, we must attach great importance to the good cooperation between the schoolsand the students’families, jointly shoulder the responsibility to ensure the healthy growthof children and adolescents. Through the study of the United States of America we clearlyfound that in the United States,the theme of educational research and school reform hadbeen undoubtedly the home-school cooperation in the recent thirty years. In manyEuropean countries such as France, Germany, Finland, Norway, Britain, home-schoolcooperation has become an important part of the reform of education in recent years. So wecan say that a worldwide trend of the education reform is to improve the cooperationbetween homes and schools. Compared with some developed countries, our country hasjust started the true-meaning cooperation between schools and families. Although in mostlarge cities and some developed medium cities the home-school cooperation has begun inrecent years, for example more and more schools and teachers began to use “jia xiao lu lutong”,family visits and other means to promote education and teaching in schools, but mostmeans did not play a real role, but only acted as a form.Not only the depth of theory butalso the width of practice of the home-school cooperation in China are far from enough. However, only when we promote the home-school cooperation in China to a new height,can we adapt to the reality, and fulfil our historical mission to cultivate talents for thebeautiful future of our motherland. At present, the problem which needs to be solvedurgently in our educational sector is how to strengthen and promote home-schoolcooperation, putting schools and families together and pushing the development of theeducational cause jointly. In view of this, I will adopt the research methods of empiricalinvestigation,select five senior middle schools in Kunshan city as the research object,investigate and study the current status of home-school cooperation in Kunshan citythrough the way of questionnairs, analyse the problems existing in the process ofcooperation, analyze the cause of cooperation problems, try to put forward theimprovement strategies tentatively, so as to make my due contribution to the improvementof home-school cooperation theory and the promotion of home-school cooperation practicein the city of Kunshan.
