Item Response Theory, which is put forward directly against inadequate Classical Test Theory, carries forward and develops Classical Test Theory. It represents new development direction of the area of surveying. At present, the method to study parameters of test questions in papers at home are still Classical Test Theory that is frequently used rather than Iten Response Theory. This research intends to explore though the application of the analysis of Iten Response Theory in test questions in papers.This thesis is classified into five chapters:Chapter Ⅰ briefly introduces the origin, research purpose and significance of this thesis. Chapter Ⅱ respectively elaborates Educational Measurement Theory, the most influential one in the area of psychological measurement at present, i.e. the development of Classical Test Theory, Iten Response Theory and Generalization Theory. Chapter Ⅲ respectively elaborates concepts, models, main parameters and advantages and disadvantages of Classical Test Theory, definition, hypothesis, models and parameter estimation methods of Iten Response Theory. Meanwhile it also introduces parameters of paper quality analysis. Chapter IV introduces models and parameters of Iten Response Theory used in this research and analyzes parameters e.g. reliability, validity and discrimination of test questions in papers based on the statistics of curriculum papers of Optical Engineering of College Physics and tests with logistic trait models. Chapter V summarizes the research, arrives at the conclusions and puts forward hopes of the development of Iten Response Theorv.
