| English reading is a kind of important means for students to learn English, and every university entrance examination focuses on the students’reading ability, while the students’scores show their reading comprehension are not very ideal, thus, how to improve the students’English reading comprehension has become a primary research for English teachers.The study of second language acquisition shows that reading strategies have a positive influence on the improvement of reading comprehension, and English note-taking strategy plays a key role in English learning and reading. Note-taking strategy is one of the important factors to improve the ability of second language and communication skills of learners. Through investigation and study, this thesis mainly discusses the use and characteristics of high school students’English note-taking strategies in English reading, and confirms that the training and using of note-taking strategies have an important position in improving English reading comprehension.This study selects senior one students of Nantong No.1Middle School as study object, using the method of combining qualitative and quantitative and analyzing data with social science statistical software (SPSS21.0). The main findings of the investigation are as follows:①The students have realized the importance of note-taking.②Most of the students have no clear motives to take notes.③There is no difference between the students’notes technology. Combined with the investigation and study, the thesis finally puts forward the suggestions:①Get the students to know the importance of notes.②Cultivate the habit of students to use English note-taking strategies.③Make clear the content and method of notes.④Emphasize on the review of English notes.⑤Teach the students to use the simple and direct characters or diagrams to take notes. |
