Digital storytelling is a digital expression of a story, using information technology tovisualize the story. It is a new form of story presented in a more vivid and moreintuitive digital method. According to the characteristics of digital storytelling, thispaper is intended to apply it to the IT courses in Wuxi Hubin Middle School. The mainresearch is about the combination of digital storytelling and webpage making duringthe teaching activities. Teach students how to use the images, texts, audios andother elements to present a digital story. The procedure of making a digital story canstimulate students’ interest in learning, promote students, active exploration andactive thinking and enhance students’ information literacy, aesthetic ability. Theapplication can make IT course not only reflect the scientific basis, but alsodemonstrated its humanities and creative sides. And it also can make IT classroomteaching more lively; effective and completely play a positive role and advantages ofdigital stories in the IT course.This paper analyses the effect digital storytelling has on the IT course in an artfeature high school on the basis of the summaries and analysis of domestic andforeign relevant literature. Literature study, action study, questionnaire and otherresearch methods are adopted in the full paper. This application in high school ITcourse is well designed to meet the requirements of the research. In order to verifythe effect digital storytelling has on IT course in art feature high school, weinterviewed, questionnaire and evaluated the students diversely. The result showsthat although this process is imperfect, the digital storytelling does partly improvethe students’ initiative and enthusiasm in learning information technology and tosome extent, promote the development of students’ multi intelligence andinformation literacy.
