Traditional physics teaching only pay attention to teach students knowledge, butdoes not pay attention to the students is how to obtain knowledge, also do not have too muchemphasis on the cultivation of student’s physical thinking ability. The traditional teachingmethod in a certain extent, ignored the students’ basic learning ability. Clearly put forward inthe new curriculum reform classroom should take the student as the main body, the teachernot only teach students knowledge, more important is to teach students how to analysis andsolve the problem, this request under the new curriculum reform of physics teaching tocultivate the students’ physical thinking ability as the main task. This article will from theperspective of practice, the use of "thinking direction gives some methods of training students’physical thinking ability. This study in the new curriculum reform background and its practice under the premiseof teaching practice put forward questions, through the literature to answer and the definitionof "thinking direction, and through the questionnaire survey to understand the students’physical thinking ability now, according to the results of the survey analysis now junior highschool students thinking ability of the breadth and depth. Illustrated by the differences ofstudents’ physical thinking ability, the necessity of training students’ physical thinking ability, and in the kinematics, optics, mechanics, presented different answer questions from the list,by these problems build into "thinking direction, thus cultivating the students’ physicalthinking ability. The purpose of this study is applied in a different way to cultivate thestudents’ physical thinking ability. Finally, this research summary and prospect of success.
