The adolescents are the future of our country, and their healthygrowth is closely related to prosperity of the nation and the happiness of thousands offamilies. But their physical health conditions are not very good now. The purpose of thispaper is to survey the current physical status of senior high school students in Luzhouand analyze the main impact factors involved in students’ physical health, then toprovide appropriate countermeasures which can improve the health status of senior highschool students in Luzhou. In this paper, the literature review, questionnaire andmathematical statistics were used to analyze students health status and factors affectingstudents’ health from900student questionnaires and data of the2010“National HealthStandard of students†in6senior high schools in Luzhou, such as height, weight, vitalcapacity, standing long jump, sit and reach, male1000meters and800meters women.Firstly, the investigation showed that the body shape of senior high school student inLuzhou was good in general, although a certain percentage of those students werepuzzled with obesity, overweight or malnutrition. And the levels of senior high schoolstudents in Luzhou in physical function and athletic ability, strength endurance werehigher than those of national average in2010. Secondly, we could see the major factorsaffecting students’ health status included poor understanding of physical, not fullyunderstanding the importance of physical exercise, bad eating habits, less rest time, lessexercise time and tremendous pressure of study. The other elements, such as physicalteaching content, methods, insufficient equipment and playground of schools,inadequate participation and support of schools and parents, also influenced students’health status improvement. This paper gave some own answers to above problems. First,schools should develop student healthy physical habits, increase capital investment toimprove conditions for students’ sports activities, reinforce efforts to the construction ofP.E and hygiene, and enhance the overall quality of teachers. In addition, PE scores of students should be evaluated rationally and health documentation of students should besoon set up. Last, families, schools and communities should work together to solve theexisting problem. |
