As the prosperous of the diverse practice of lifelong education, there needs a large number of high-quality lifelong education professionals. Universities have the advantage to cultivate professionals in all walks of life because of its discipline research. Therefore, inorder to futher the lifelong education career,it is important to set lifelong education programs and conduct systematic professional education.The author selects11universities lifelong education programs in North America, Europe, Asia as typical cases, and does the cross cases comparison and analysis, and then come out the following results.Firstly, the international lifelong education programs mainly train the graduate-level talents, focusing on the cultivation of reflective scholar practitioner.on some specific requirements, like the ability of leadership, policy analysis and implementation, the design, analysis, planning, development, management and assessment of project.Secondly, the three kinds of programs include the adult education, human resource development, as well as specific professional categories with lifelong education have successively in sequence. At now, the traditional adult education programs gradually tend to integrate with other disciplines and new types of human resources development and lifelong education policy and management programs are emerging.Thirdly, the philosophy of lifelong education programs is student-centered, focusing on the development of the student subjectivity.Fourthly, the international lifelong education programs give us insights for cooperative programs.Fifth, in terms of quality assurance, the international lifelong education programs always adhere to principles of Strict out, emphasizing the multi-subject, multi-faceted assessment.Overall, lifelong education professional international university presents interdisciplinary, international, diversity and flexibility, academic and practical features.On this basis, the paper also considers the actual situation of lifelong education programs in our country,and puts forward relevant proposals.
