The reading process is not only the students’ obtaining knowledge andinformation, but also the students learn to study, learn to independent thinking. Atpresent, research on students’ reading behavior problems mainly focus on primary andsecondary school students and college students, yet study of secondary vocationalschool students in reading behavior is lack of attention. This research starts from thereading behavior of secondary vocational school students’ reaching the standard intheory, taking students to independently choose, understanding of reading, meaningconstruction as the standard, to explore the significance of reading behavior ofsecondary vocational students’ growth and development.This paper adopts the method of questionnaire investigation, studying thatreading behavior status of secondary vocational school students and find thefollowing situations: reading motivation and reading the content diversification,diversification, rich sources of reading, reading liberalization, reading memory degreedifference. The study found that the secondary vocational students reading behaviorproblems are: reading interest is not high, the low level of the object of reading,reading ability is weak, not to form a good habit of reading, reading range is small,the number of single type of reading guidance is short, students are lack of readingactivities. The reason is because the society and School of vocational school studentslack of due attention to reading, reading teaching methods on students’ readingpsychology behind, lack of awareness, lack of awareness of students reading guidance,family reading atmosphere, parents do not have to set an example, vocationalstudents’ reading attitude is not correct, the reading method is not scientific.According to the problems existing in reading behavior of the students, the paperoffers related countermeasures of secondary vocational students’ reading habits asbelow. First, to create a good reading atmosphere, and to give policy support. Second,to set up behavior training and management mechanism of vocational students reading,formulate the theory system and evaluation system framework of establishing the reading, reading behavior training, a clear implementation principle and goal. Third,strengthen reading professional teacher training, curriculum reform open reading,reading course, all kinds of inquiry reading activities organization. Fourth, theteachers should cultivate students’ reading a good behavior. Fifth, parents shouldcreate a good family atmosphere of reading, reading education and effective forchildren, and act as role models for children. Sixth, the student must constantly striveto it.
