In this paper the author first describes a overview of the Mandarin teaching of LincolnHigh School,OR,USA. The focus of the description is on the syllabuses and the Mandarintextbooks.In the paper, the author uses methods such as investigation, searching materials andcomparison to study the Mandarin teaching of Lincoln High School.Lincoln High School is a good model of Confucius Classroom in America, study of itsMandarin Teaching can be a reference to the teaching of Mandarin as a second language.The author thinks the syllabuses and Mandarin textbooks of Lincoln High Schoolhave many advantages such as its global view. But they also have some disadvantages. Inthis paper the author analyzes them.Then the author analyzes the causes of the features of Lincoln High School Mandarinteaching from the view of environment,teaching standard,exams,teacher and students.At last the author summarizes the inspirations that Lincoln Mandarin class can give tothe teaching of Mandarin as a second language.
