The integration of information technology and curriculum is a trend in the reform ofinternational science education. In order to keep digital sensor technology more effective inchemical inquiry learning, the nature of science, the development of chemistry andscientific inquiry learning are studied from philosophy, history and education. There arethree instructional models that integrated digital sensor experiment and inquiry learning aredesigned and practiced based on the features of digital sensor technology. The effect ofthese models in teaching practice is analyzed by observation, questionnaires, interviews. The first model is Image Analyzed Inquiry, which takes quantitative experiment byusing digital sensor technology in chemistry classroom to help students understand theknowledge by combination of experimental images. The students’ ability of analysis, processing and integration information proved to been improved in the teaching practice. The second model is Data Analyzed Inquiry, which makes students understandchemistry concepts or principles by mathematical calculate. The students’ ability of useinformation to solve problems and the ability to conduct scientific inquiry has beensignificantly improved on the basis of analysis and process information. The third model is Theoretical Development Inquiry, which students using thequantitative data and experimental curves of digital sensor experiments to develop a newunderstanding and awareness to chemical concepts or principles by questioning, criticismand re-modeling. The students’ critical thinking and innovative have been improved on thebasis of improves the ability of problem-solving.Teaching practice also shows that three models not only make the inquiry morein-depth, but also make students’ scientific literacy has been fully improved.
