The Research On Campus Violence And Its Measures Of Ideological And Political Work In University

Recently, the campus violence events occur frequently which endanger thestudents’ physical and mentality health,chang the landscape of school safety and raisechallenging questions in the society. The occurrence of campus violence in universityreflects not only the leak of management of universities, but also the serious oversighton the contents as well as the methods of ideological and political work. Nowadays,the university students advocate freedom and individuality, meanwhile,they have notformed perfect personality and good self-adaptation ability. When they are facingcontradictions and conflicts in life,they prefer to handle the problems by extremeways. Due to the dual functions of education and management, the ideological andpolitical work plays an important role on preventing and handling the campusviolence in university.This paper is based on studying and applying the relevant theories at home andabroad and grasps the situation of the campus violence by questionnaires whichprovide first-hand information. In addition, this paper analyzes the definition,typesand characteristics of campus violence in university and introduces the ideologicaland political work to the campus violence as an efficient way. The preface elaboratesthe background and significance of the topic and explains briefly the current researchstatus and achievements. This text is organized around the following subsections:ChapterⅠis the introduction to the theories of school violence. Firstly, we definethe word “campus violence”.Secondly, the campus violence is classified from thepoint of subject, object, nature and expression. Thirdly, this part discusses the featuresof campus violence in university. Lastly, this part expounds the harm of campusviolence to students, family, school and society. ChapterⅡdescribes the status on campus violence in the university usedquestionnaire. It introduces the new problems of campus violence in university.Additionally, the students’attitude, the handling mode of university and the orientationfor public opinion of social media on campus violence are generalized in this chapter.Furthermore, this part summarizes the present situation of universities’ prevention oncampus violence.Chapter Ⅲ analyzes the causes of campus violence in university based on theexisting theories and the questionnaires. Students themselves, family, school andsociety are the factors affecting the campus violence, who should be responsible forthe consequence.Chapter Ⅳ dissects how to use the ideological and political work to intervenecampus violence in university. The link of preparedness includes enhancing theeffectiveness of ideological and political education, training the school staff,takingadvantage of students’ organization and peer mutual assistance, strengtheningfamily-school collaboration and so on. The link of dispose contains establishingcampus communication warning system, accelerating the reaction of school securitypersonnel and pacifying the whole teachers and students to minimize the harmfulconsequences. The link of rehabilitation covers summing up experience and lessons aswell as providing psychological counseling for students and teachers.
