The mind mapping is a visual radioactive thinking tools are widely used in various fields. Currently, mind mapping is applied to the field of education in many foreign countries and achieved certain results. Although the mind mapping was introduced into China later than other countries, it is developing rapidly. The application value of mind mapping in middle school mathematics recitations teaching has been recognized by the majority of educators. But there are no one studies about how to use the mind mapping to construct mathematical knowledge system.The author made a study on using the mind mapping to construct mathematical knowledge system, according to the current teaching requirements. The analysis of mind mapping, brain science, schema theory and constructivist teaching theory shows that the mind mapping is a good tool to construct mathematical knowledge system. In order to more effectively integrate mind mapping to the high school mathematics teaching, the author made a research on the drawing requirements and methods for the mind mapping of high school mathematics. Then the author constructed a teaching mode, which was called four-composition and based on the mind mapping. She also verified the feasibility and superiority of this teaching mode by teaching practice and provided a new reference model for the high school mathematics teaching.The results of this study have shown that the mind mapping can effectively help students construct mathematical knowledge. It can optimize the mathematical cognitive structure, improve the level of thinking ability, train team spirit, and improve the learning interests and achievements of the maths effectively.
