In recent years, gays’ wives are given increasing attention because of the researchon homosexuality and their special identity. However, the groups who have the similarexperience just like lesbians’husbands are ignored, and they should get attention as well. The existence of these two vulnerable groups is becoming gradually outstanding. Theparticularity of this type of marriage requires further academic exploration. This thesisaims to push the society to understand these two vulnerable groups with humanity, carethem in culture and help them by law.Virtual anthropology method was used during nearly10months study. Interviewswith35participants were conducted in depth in five virtual communities and onnetwork communication platforms. Participant and non-participant observation methodswere used to browse hundreds of posts that gays’wives, lesbians’ husbands and marriedhomosexual people talking about their life experiences. Text of more than100,000words was collected as the researching material by communicate with dozens ofinterviewees, which could also be a practical experience of virtual anthropologicalmethod.Based on the theory of social gender perspective, five reasons to maintain theirmarriage were compared and analyzed between gays’ wives and lesbians’ husbands, which were economy, children, reputation, emotion and military marriage. No matterthey chose to pay their emotion actively or just bear passively, their marriage wasmostly filled with misfortune. In matters of marriage breakup, when they could not bearto cheat, marital violence, AIDS, and emotional wrong pay, gays’ wives and lesbians’husbands chose to devoice firmly. Due to lack of moral and legal support from society, they encountered fault imputation, child support and other rights guarantee problems, which were more difficult than that in common people marriage. With respect tomarriage maintenance and disintegration, homosexual persons’ family had a hugedifference from common family. At the same time, due to gender difference, both asvulnerable groups, gays’ wives and lesbians’ husbands had much difference in marriagedealing, though they shared a similar experience. Compared with lesbians’ husbands, gays’wives had a more vulnerable position because of genders inequality.Gays’ wives and lesbians’ husbands were victims, no matter they chose maintain, disintegration, or second marriage. However, they suffered pains differently in degree.Gays’ wives had a more vulnerable position, so male and female should be put on areasonable position, which could decrease gender inequality and sexism and help gays’wives got less harm in their marriage life. When being sympathy with these twovulnerable groups, reflection should be made that married gay family resulted from lackof understanding and inclusion from society. Only by making efforts on makinghomosexuality accepted in law, society and culture, the increasing of married gay familycould be prevented and vulnerable groups like gays’wives and lesbians’husbands couldbe decreased basically.
