In the process of urbanization in China, the emotional questions of rural juniorstudents are prominent. This study intends to explore the current situation of the needsof affective instruction which based on English classroom in Shaanxi rural juniorclassroom. It plays a key role in the fundamental education under the background ofurbanization, especially the application of affective instruction in English classroom.Combined with the rural junior students’ character, the study sets out toinvestigate the relationship between affective factors and classroom instruction in fiveemotional factors of interest, motivation, self-confidence, spirit of cooperation andteacher-student relationship in the questionnaire survey and interview. Besides, thefurther research aims to investigate the current situation of the needs of affectiveinstruction from teachers’ and parents’ aspects. According to their questionnaire andinterview results,the instrution strategies are suggested based on the theory of caringand the practice of teaching.The findings of this research can be summarized as follows:1. Lacking of properguidance leads to students’ lacking of interest in learning;2. Students want to improvetheir English level subjectively, but they lack of learning motivation;3. Indefinitelearning aims to lead self-confidence damages;4. Not actively cooperation betweenstudents and teachers and few cooperation chances among students are not in theinterest of cultivation of co-operative spirit;5. Teacher-student relationship needs tobe improved.
