A Study Of Teaching Project Of Autonomous Learning Based On New Curriculum Standard And New Media In Senior High School

In recent years, with the continuous deepening of educational reform,“autonomouslearning” has become an important subject in Chinese foreign language teaching andresearches as well as a vital objective in National English Curriculum Standards forCommon Senior High School (experiment draft). It has been proved that the most effectiveway to realize learners’ autonomous learning is by making full use of modern educationaltechnology and developing students’ ability of English autonomous learning byself-experience, practices, discussion and cooperation. However, so far an effective way ofautonomous learning has not come into being in the new media environment, the author hasproposed a teaching project based on the New Curriculum and new media.Some fresh students of senior high school were selected as the subjects in theeducational experiment for this research. Before the experiment, the author collected thedata of these students’ scores in entrance examination and conducted questionnaires ontheir learning styles. Then the author compiled a series of teaching project on the commoncharacteristics of students’ learning based on Constructivism Theory, Krashen’sComprehensible Input and Affective Filter Hypothesis. Then re-collected final examinationscores of these students and data of a feedback questionnaire from the experimental group.Changes of students’ academic performances and their attitude toward to autonomouslearning teaching project will be seen from the statistical analysis. And the results show thatthe autonomous learning teaching project based on the New Curriculum Standards and newmedia for high school students can improve students’ English performances to somedegrees and it can help students to develop their autonomous learning ability. Therefore, theteaching project for high school students’ autonomous learning has been proved to beeffective.
