In Chinese poor rural areas, there are still a lot of weak senior high schools, whoseconditions are poor and teaching quality is low. How to improve the quality of Englishteaching in these schools is a difficult problem placed in front of English teachers.So the research on the English playfulness teaching in rural weak senior high schoolfrom the perspective of phenomenological pedagogy has been done. Based on payingattention to students’ inner feelings, the researcher has discussed how to put theplayfulness teaching ideas into teaching practice. The research tries to solve the problemof “how to do”, and thus to stimulate the playfulness experience and motivation ofstudents’ learning English, so as to solve the phenomenon of senior high school students’weariness, truancy, looking on the study as “a chore”and so on.The research methods to be used in this thesis include literature analysis, surveyanalysis and phenomenological pedagogy method.Through literature study, the researcher has found: Currently, deepening into thespirit of the game level, the study of senior high school English playfulness teaching inour country is still very vacant. The research on rural areas weak senior high school iseven less, especially dissertation research in this area is still very weak.Through the investigation and study, the researcher has found: The vast majority ofstudents agree with the playfulness teaching, and they are full of expectation. Theteacher’s smile is also very important. The English teacher’s awareness and understandingof playfulness teaching is still in a relatively initial stage. Teachers lack the practicalability of playfulness teaching. Teachers and students still lack the spirit of the game.Teaching practice is a key point of this research. Through the practice andexploration the researcher has found: The playfulness teaching can mobilize the students’learning initiative and enthusiasm, help students overcome learning difficulties, stimulatestudents’ interest and enable students to build up confidence in learning English toimprove the teaching quality and efficiency. The playfulness teaching also fosters thegame spirit of teachers and students.Doing the phenomenological pedagogy research is another focus of this study. The researcher has focused on phenomenological pedagogy study about “smiling”and“collaborative learning”. The researcher recommends:(1)Teachers should start with asmile;(2)In oral English class, teachers should focus on collaborative learning.The main innovations of this dissertation are:(1)The researcher has permeated thespirit of the game in the playfulness teaching practice.(2)The researcher has focused onphenomenological pedagogy study about “smiling” and “collaborative learning”.
