College Students’ Major Volunteer And Major Satisfaction Research And Analysis

The students’ major satisfaction directly affect their learning interest andmotivation of professional knowledge,Related to their employment prospectand career development,will affect the state of human resources development,and restricting the comprehensive national strength of ascension.Because ofthe higher education system in China,the possibility of changing majors isslim, major volunteer basically decided attending major.So,students’ voluntarychoice and major satisfaction is very important.This paper for GuizhouNormal University biology grade2011,2012and2013students.Based on"IMPROVING SURVEY QUESTIONS: DESIGN AND EVALUATION",my"questionnaire of college students major volunteer and satisfaction ",andthe interview for students, using Excel and SPSS17.0to analysis the data,College students’ major volunteer had a strong influence on major satisfaction.The main factors affect students’ satisfaction are major volunteergradient,grade,major choice motivation, gender differences, and high schooltype. Parents do not much affect on students’ major satisfaction. The majorsatisfaction degree focused on "satisfaction" and "satisfied". Studentsattending major as their first choice, their satisfaction is the largest, the majortransfers is the minimum; Based on the individual special interests,students’satisfaction is the largest, the blind is the minimum;model high schoolstudents’ satisfaction is the minimum, three categories or demonstration seniorhigh school students’ is the largest. The new curriculum reform has effect onstudents’ voluntary choice and major satisfaction.Therefore,the investigationof biological major volunteer and satisfaction, some suggestions are furtheroffered on student major development, provide references for students’development in the future.
