Engaged in the high school mathematics education for more than ten years, the authordeeply realizes that the mathematics education in the teaching and learning is a very hardand happy thing. With teaching practice for many years, I also realize deeply thatmathematics education is to improve the students’ ability of solving problem as the mainpurpose of teaching. Also, only in this way can the teachers help students improve theability of solving practical math problems. For students, the best way to learn math is tounderstand the mathematics knowledge system in question solving and thus they canrealize the solving methods. What’s more, the students can enjoy the joy of knowledge.From the perspectives of new curriculum reform and the ordinary high schoolmathematics curriculum standard, this article gives a further study of the problem solving,based on Belaya’ Table of How to Problem Solving. The article first expounds the presentsituation of problem solving both at home and abroad, and the major problems studentsmay face. The concepts of the function, basic characteristics, formula and theorem will begiven, and it demonstrates the significance of the meaning of the further research. The twoaspects of the contents will be summarized. The first one is the mathematical thinkingmethod, which are the soul of math study and an important content of quality-orientededucation. Considering that these learning methods in the high school just are penetrated inthe textbook, and don’t form the major thread, we should require teachers consciouslyguide the students to conclude and summarize these methods, and also ask students toapply them to solve them in the later study, so that they can form good habits of thinkingand the strong ability in the math. The second one is the function problem solving research.High school mathematics content can be divided into six major parts: function,three-dimensional geometry and plane analytic geometry, series, probability and statistics,and inequality, although each plate has its own features, but the problem solving method ismutually, although the topic, but how to problem solving, step idea is the same. Due tospace limitations, we should study the types of questions and methods of solving problemsin the college entrance exam. The research is mainly composed of two aspects. That is the math thought method and the function knowledge point in the college entrance.In a word, this article use function as its research content, which is the common threadof high school math? Combined with the work experience of the author herself, this articlesystematically studies the problem solving function. Most of the examples listed in thisarticle come from the teaching practice of the author herself, so there is rarely slant,strange and difficult situation. This article also puts forward the opinions of the anchoringorder to get more and better opinions from experts and to make the math teaching andresearch further.
